Cricket Wireless enlisted Neverstop to produce a series of activations during the week of the Democratic National Convention in Denver to create positive brand impressions, reach their target youth demographic and leverage their sponsorship of the 2008 Declare Yourself Campaign.
Neverstop produced a nightly projection party on the most heavily trafficked intersection in downtown Denver. Using Neverstop's back-end technology, participants were able to photograph themselves and send in their response to questions posed by caricatures of Obama and McCain via MMS from any service provider including email messages from iPhones and PDAs. The activation featured DJs and Cricket street teams encouraging the curious and gathering crowds to declare themselves nightly.
On the culminating night of the DNC, Neverstop produced a free concert, "For The People" brought to them by Cricket Wireless on the busiest intersection in downtown Denver. Thousands of onlookers joined as Obama's nomination acceptance speech was projected on a 30ft screen for all of the downtown Denver to see and hear, followed by msic performances by hip-hop favorites, Cool Kids and Clipse, and was heraled by local media as the best party put on during the DNC.
Neverstop then threw a Cricket Wireless VIP afterparty at the Jet Hotel following the Obama speech and live concert outside. The party featured an open bar for Cricket Employees, Spank Rock DJs, and Neverstop's interactive photo kiosk.
