Neverstop successfully executed the brilliant Crispin Porter+Bogusky IKEA "Steal Me" initiative in San Francisco. The 2003 summer campaign coincided with the opening of the Palo Alto IKEA store.
Neverstop's cultural engineers were sent out on an under-cover mission to "drop" a room staging of IKEA furniture on the street in the middle of downtown San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose. After about 45 minutes as passerby’s curiosity grew, staff tore away tags on the items that revealed “Steal Me” signs. Neverstop were asked to bring back anything that was left behind, but the truck came back empty.
